The Lower Colorado River Authority reports an unusual find at Lake Travis.
On Tuesday a fisherman found a 3 to 4-foot-long dead alligator near Emerald Point.
An LCRA spokesperson says the alligator appears to have died from a propeller wound.
This is a very rare animal to find in the area.
The LCRA believes it was a pet because Lake Travis is not a habitat that alligators can likely survive in.
