We did a great job on Wednesday of collecting more than 150,000 pounds of food and supplies over $300,000 in cash for the people suffering the effects of Hurricane Ike. The need, however, continues and unfortunately they will for some time to come.

Capital Area Food Bank
WHAT: The community is urged to support Barton Creek Square, The Domain and Lakeline Mall as they host food drives to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. Non-perishable food items are being collected at each mall’s respective Simon Guest Services.
Items that are in most need for Hurricane Ike relief efforts include:
1) bottled water
2) granola bars
3) canned meats (pop-top lids)
4) peanut butter
5) diapers & wipes (adult and baby)
6) personal care items (toothpaste, toothbrush, feminine products, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc…)
