This week in 1984, one of the greatest love songs of all time began a three-week run at number one on the singles chart.
If you looked at the title of this post, you probably know which song I'm referring to. Yep, it was Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called To Say I Love You".
It was the seventh number one song for Stevie, and it is still played at weddings everywhere. I hear it dedicated on Delilah's show quite often, and when I did the Love Songs At Night show years ago, I probably had at least one request for it every day.
The message of the song is simple, but true. You don't need a special occasion or time of year to say, "I love you" to someone. Those three words can and should be said every day, many times a day.
Enjoye the music!
