Memorial Day weekend is  the 'Unofficial Start' of Summer. Here's some ideas of 'What  to do in/around ATX for the big weekend  in no particular order 1.) Capital of Texas Triathlon- Monday 5/30 The Capital of Texas Triathlon has become an exciting event that happens downtown in the Capital of Austin, Texas. Doggie Du Dash- Sunday 5/29 Dog Duathlon at Lady Bird Lake. The Doggie Du Dash is an exciting event that happens downtown in the Capital of Austin, Texas. Austin Sketch Fest- Thursday 5/26- Sunday 5/29 The second annual Austin Sketch Fest is happening Memorial Day weekend 2011, and will showcase the very best scripted comedy America has to offer. Organized by ColdTowne Theater, the 2010 festival was a resounding success, with sell out shows all weekend and talent from across the country, and we intend to make things bigger and better in 2011.
