Sorry, You Can’t Go Onstage
How would you feel if you were stopped by security and told you could not get into your own concert?
That's exactly what happened to Bob Dylan on October 16, 2001. Dylan, who was in the midst of his "Love and Theft Tour" at the time, had demanded that security be tighter than usual.
The problem with security arose when Dylan tried to enter, but didn't have a pass, so the guards refused to let him go backstage. The two guards were subsequently fired.
Hey, they were just following Bob's orders, just as they were paid to do. I'm sure anybody could recognize it was Bob Dylan, but what if it was someone disguising himself as Dylan?
