Memorial Day is about a lot more than BBQs and having fun. The holiday is meant to honor those who died while serving in the armed forces. As we honor those who have served in the military, many national retailers are offering freebies and discounts for those veterans and active military members. 

Offers listed below are valid on Monday (May 29):

Hooters - Current and former members of the military will receive a free entree with purchase of a beverage at Hooters on Memorial Day. Guests hoping to use this offer must show their military ID. 

McCormick & Schmick's - Veterans and active-duty members of the military get complimentary lunch or dinner on Memorial Day. Guests hoping to use this offer must show their military ID.

Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub - Buy one meal at the regular price and your table will get a $9.99 entrée for free. On guest at the table must display a military ID.

Twin Peaks - Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal on Memorial Day. The exact offer varies by location, so it is best to check ahead of time.

Outback Steakhouse - Outback Steakhouse is offering 15% off from May 25, 2017 through July 4, 2017 for all active military (and their families) with proper Military ID.
