Dog of the Week
Retriever / Lab mix

Meet Remy! Remy is an especially handsome 3-year-old male Retriever/Lab mix. This boy is super smart and already knows several commands including sit, down, and roll over! He's very eager to please so will be a fun dog to train. He's very active and would be an awesome buddy out on the hike and bike trails! He loves to play catch too. Remy is house trained and used to staying in a crate when he needs to be home alone. He's been with us for some time and we'd love for him to find his forever home. Come meet Remy at AHS today!

Cat of the Week:
Domestic Shorthair

The Austin Humane Society’s handsome cat of the week is Tiger! He's a one-year old Domestic Shorthair and a true champion. Rescued from a dire situation, this affectionate and outgoing boy is ready for a new chapter in a stable, loving home. Tiger is an indoor kitty that gets along well with other cats and he even likes pups! He's playful, happy and ready to be welcomed into his new forever family. Come meet Tiger today.

Senior Spotlight:
Mixed Breed

We’re putting a spotlight on sweet senior, Cagney! Cagney is an 8 year old large Mixed Breed pup searching for the right family. Cagney is very active and loves to get outside to explore. Because of this, we are requiring his new family has a fenced in yard where he can spend some time. Cagney is very smart and knows several commands. While Cagney loves to go for car rides, he isn’t too adventurous. He’s a bit of a homebody, so he’d do best with a family who is home often and doesn’t mind leaving him behind when they head out on the trail or go downtown. Cagney isn’t a big fan of other dogs, so no K9 brothers and sisters for him! Is Cagney the pup you’ve been looking for? Come to AHS and say hello to Cagney!
