Annie Lennox is feeling festive for a reason.

Some songs are more than just music. They are time machines, transporting you to a place and time you haven't seen in years. Or, they are old friends, wrapping you in a warm blanket right when you're feeling chilly. And sometimes they are just happy pills, filling you with a burst of energy propelling you forward to whatever your day has in store. If 'Sweet Dreams' by the Eurythmics checks any of those boxes for you, things are about to get nostalgic.

People went absolutely nuts for the video. In an interview with The Guardian just last month, Annie Lennox explained, "We wanted our visual statements to be strong and powerful, because we knew they’d be there forever. I wore a suit in the video with my cropped hair. I was trying to be the opposite of the cliche of the female singer. I wanted to be as strong as a man, equal to Dave and perceived that way. Wearing wigs and taking them off again was about the affectations that women create to become acceptable or beautiful to men, about removing masks and how none of it is real. People didn’t always get that, or understand the irony of it."

Mission totally accomplished, don't you think. Warning: watching this video may give you a sudden and irresistible urge to crop your hair and don your sexiest suit.
